GET Wins Four Awards

Georgia Ensemble Theatre (GET), North Fulton’s only professional theatre company, was honored as the recipient of four Suzi Bass awards. The annual Suzi Bass Awards –Atlanta theatre’s own version of the Tony Awards– celebrates the accomplishments of theatres all over the Atlanta area.

Georgia Ensemble Theatre co-founders Robert J. Farley and Anita Allen-Farley (pictured above) were honored with the Suzi Bass Lifetime Achievement Award for their creative and selfless work over their long careers here in the Atlanta theatre community and of course for the success of GET. It was truly a special moment as playwright Topher Payne, a longtime collaborator with GET, presented the prestigious award to the Farleys saying, “…in celebration of and profound appreciation for all they have given us, I am honored to present the Suzi Bass Lifetime Achievement Award to Bob and Anita Farley.”

Robert Farley will retire at the end of the current season after fifty years in theatre and pass the Artistic Directorship on to Alan Kilpatrick, currently Associate Artistic Director. Anita Allen-Farley will continue on as Managing Director for the foreseeable future.

The theatre company was also honored with three other awards including:
