The holidays are always an exciting time of the year. It is the chance to spend time with family and friends, and enjoy some hopefully cooler weather. The Chattahoochee Nature Center has always been a place to bring people together, and with that spirit, they have created holiday events that are sure to delight all ages. This year, many will recognize the Back to Nature Holiday Market, but new this year is a very special event sure to bring out the holiday magic for the whole family.
Do you have your holiday shopping done? Why not get it done easily, while supporting your local community? Join CNC for the Holiday Market Dec. 2 from 10 a.m.–5 p.m. At this “pop up” market you will discover a variety of locally-made products, everything from soaps, to candles, to jewelry, there is something for everyone. It’s also a great way to connect with vendors you may not otherwise know about who live and work in your community. There will even be food from Chef Cary’s Cuisine of Marietta. So get your girlfriends out and make a day of it, and take some time to venture around the grounds of CNC while you are here.
If you have been a fan of Reindeer Day in the past, we have the perfect event for you—Enchanted Woodland Wonders. As you explore the wooded trails of CNC, you might just come across a fairy house or gnome home. After you’re done exploring the trails, relax and hear a story from Miss Julia, a favorite among young visitors. Then be sure to get your face painted and create some winter crafts. Of course, no winter afternoon is complete without a campfire and some hot chocolate. If you need a little food to keep you going, there will be food trucks too.
Now, if you are wondering what about the reindeer, where are they? They will be able to make a quick visit to CNC, but only briefly at the beginning; after all, they have a busy holiday season ahead of them. Enchanted Woodland Wonders is Dec. 10 from 3 – 7 p.m. and is included with general admission and is free for CNC members.
