‘Tis The Season Of Lights

This weekend several large attractions in the metro area begin their seasonal light shows. In no particular order, here are a few staff picks:

Christmas at Lake Lanier
November 17, 2017 – Jan. 3, 2018
Drive past colorful displays on Magical Nights of Lights to reach Holiday Village, where you can shop, dine, visit Santa, and take carnival rides at Lake Lanier Islands Resort.

Christmas lights – Callaway Gardens
November 17, 2017 – Jan. 6, 2018
Fantasy in Lights is a giant holiday light and sound show, with eight million lights, displays, a Christmas village, and Santa Claus at Callaway Gardens. Special events are held Nov. 11 to 13, and Dec. 31.

Holiday lights – Botanical Garden
November 17, 2017 – Jan. 7, 2018
Garden Lights, Holiday Nights features high-tech light displays, illuminated attractions, model trains, and restaurants at the 30-acre Atlanta Botanical Garden.

Christmas at Stone Mountain
November 18, 2017 – Jan. 3, 2018
Stone Mountain Christmas has 2 million lights, holiday shows, a snow-angel palace, a nightly parade with Santa, and snowfall at Stone Mountain Park. Nearby Snow Mountain opens Nov. 18 with inner tube rides.
