This week-long festival celebrates all things cycling and is held in the first Georgia city to receive the prestigious League of American Bicyclists Bike Friendly Community designation. There are six events planned. Here are the details on a few: Saturday, April 20 & 27: Bike Roswell! Saturday Morning Ride. Experienced riders will enjoy this popular group ride along the 25-mile route through Roswell. Start/Finish at Roswell Area Park, 10517 Woodstock Road, Roswell. 8:00 a.m. Friday, April 26: 7th Annual Bike & Beverage Tour. Approximately 5 miles through Historic Roswell, this is a free casual bike ride where no one will be left behind. Registration required. 5:00 – 11:00 p.m. Sunday, April 28: Bike Roswell! Mayor’s Ride. This is the 16th year for the largest fundraiser for Bike Roswell!, a non-profit organization promoting safe cycling. 8:00 a.m. from Roswell Area Park with three ride options : 18, 42, and 64 miles. Registration required, $45/rider and $55 day-of event. Also, from 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Bike Roswell! and the City of Roswell will convert the pavement along Canton Street into a pedal/pedestrian party. Come join in on this innovative experience encouraging people of all ages and abilities to explore the community by dancing, pedaling, rolling, and strolling. Activities will include live music on multiple stages by Atlanta Plays it Forward, sports demonstrations, health and wellness interactive displays, and the Historic Roswell Kiwanis Kids’ Bicycle Safety Rodeo. A Family Bike Parade will kick off activities at 11:00 a.m., rolling from Heart of Roswell Park to Woodstock Road and back. bikeroswell.com.
