Join Keep Roswell Beautiful at Riverside Park for Roswell’s first Earth Month celebration! This free, family-friendly event is meant to be educational, inspiring, and inclusive as we celebrate the natural world. The evening will begin with a variety of educational vendors demonstrating with hands-on activities just how easy and fun it can be to protect our natural resources. Several speakers from faith communities in Roswell will then lead in giving thanks to the air, land, and water that sustain us. At twilight, the inaugural lantern parade will commence. The parade route runs from Riverside Park to Don White Park and back, about a mile round trip. Everyone is welcome to participate; please bring something that glows, twinkles, or shines (no fire or flames!). You can create a lantern out of natural or reused/recycled materials, or attend one of the spring lantern-building workshops and bring your creation with you to the parade. See website below for details. 770-641-3742. Riverside Park, 575 Riverside Road, Roswell. 6:00 – 8:30 p.m.
