The Big Chicken Chorus, the Marietta Daily Journal, and the Earl and Rachel Smith Strand Theatre have come together to present Veterans Day Salute, a program celebrating and members of the armed forces at The Strand on Sunday, Nov. 11 at 3 p.m. The program features a patriotic barbershop music concert, a film screening of Memories of War, a documentary featuring interviews with local World War II veterans. Patrons will get a rare opportunity to hear experiences from before, during, and after the war directly from those who lived it during a live Q&A talk back with local WWII veterans. A celebration of our veterans and invaluable insight into WWII from those who experienced it first hand, this event is a must-see for any supporters of the men and women who gave everything for their country and anyone with an interest in WWII history. All active duty military and veterans get in free to the Veterans Day Salute program. Free tickets must still be reserved through the box office at 770.293.0080.
