Michael Feinberg Quartet is in concert at The Velvet Note in Alpharetta on Friday and Saturday night. Feinberg has been a part of the New York City jazz scene for only a short while but has begun to make a name for himself as a composer, bandleader and accompanist. Playing with him is Darren Barrett a Canadian GRAMMY-Award-winning jazz trumpeter who also won the Thelonius Monk International Jazz Competition, and who currently teaches at the prestigious Berklee School of Music. Jess Goggans Band is at Matilda’s at 377 South Main in Alpharetta. Homegrown and raised in the Northeast corner of Alabama, singer/songwriter Jess Goggans puts her entire soul into her music and every ounce of her heart into every single performance. Bring your own food and drinks and enjoy a night of great live music under the stars. Seating is limited so bring a chair. Dogs on a leash are welcome.

Christmas lights are on offer at the Garden Lights, Holiday Nights featuring high-tech light displays, illuminated attractions, model trains, and restaurants at the 30-acre Atlanta Botanical Garden.
